Ingalls Lake (October 11, 2008)

Kelly, Alan, Chris and I went on a day hike to Ingalls Lake to see some fall colors. I think
we were a little early for the vibrant colors, but we did see some yellows. We also got some
great views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and a close view of Mt. Stuart! The weather was clear
and blue. A great fall day for a hike!

Chris, Alan and Kelly at the trailhead, ready for the hike.

Mt. Rainier peeking over the mountains near us!

A farther back view.

Behind the waves of blue is Mt. Adams in the haze.

Mt. Stuart with some larch trees, their needles changing color.

After lunch Kelly and Alan headed back. Chris and I wanted to see the
lake, and thought we could just over the next ridge, so we kept hiking.
This is a little ways along the trial.

Just over the ridge was the lake, and it had a great view of Mt. Stuart behind it!

On the way back we got another view of Mt. Stuart with the larch trees.
